Your Responsibilities
As a Sr. Technology Product Manager, Scouting for John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group located in Urbandale, IA, you will:
• Work directly with customers, dealers, and internal stakeholders to deeply understand customer needs, key pain points to solve, and lead a cross functional team to craft solutions and bring them to market.
• Use your product sense, technical knowledge, and business judgement to understand what is technically possible and strategically important to the business.
• Translate customer needs into specific product requirements and features. Make the product come alive through written and verbal communication to enable engineering teams to build it.
• Partner with colleagues to craft a holistic strategy and prioritized roadmap for Scouting, including both technology choices and business model approach.
• Develop and measure key success metrics for your products and drive increasing levels of utilization, satisfaction, and revenue.

What Skills You Need
• 7 or more years of experience in technology product development for agriculture
• 5 or more years of experience in a technology Product Management or similar role
• Experience working with customers and engineers with proven ability to rally a team to build great products that achieve market success.
• Experience and familiarity with perceptions systems, sensors, drones, remote sensing, machine learning and data visualization.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to build strong and productive relationships and communicate clearly to audiences of all levels.
• Strong independent judgement, problem solving skills, and ability to make timely decisions in the best interests of the customer and the company.
• A strong product sense for the intersection of agriculture and technology and its potential to enhance our customers operations.
What Makes You Standout
• Hands on technical experience with advanced sensors, drones, satellites, and CVML.
• Deep understanding of farmers, input companies, retailers, ASPs and the key problems they face in optimizing crop production.
• Experience defining and implementing new business models to support product and business strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to leverage data and analytics to identify opportunities and solve problems.
Education
• B.S. in engineering, agronomic sciences, agribusiness or similar
