Your Responsibilities

 

As a Business Unit Leader for JD Seeding - Valley City located in Valley City, ND, you will:

 

  • Plan and manage manufacturing and/or warehouse operations for current and future products in a business/production unit.
  • Has multiple process with complex product lines. This involves direction for personnel and establishment of processes for the purpose of delivering quality products and/or parts orders when the customer requires it in a safe and productive manner.
  • Additional focus is on continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, workforce utilization, cost reduction and profitability through lean manufacturing of the Deere Production System.
  • Manufacturing Engineering and Materials staff may report directly to this position.
  • Generally greater than 75 direct and indirect reports with an operating budget greater than $5 million.
  • Has Product Delivery Process (PDP) and Order Fulfillment Process (OFP) responsibilities.

  • Communicate the actions needed to implement the function's strategy and business plan within the team; explain the relationship to the broader organization's mission, vision, and values; motivate people to commit to these and to do extraordinary things to achieve local business goals.
  • Manage and report on the performance of a substantial, diverse team; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports or project/account team members and hold individuals accountable for achieving them; take appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of team/personal objectives.

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
