The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND.

Your Responsibilities

 

As a Foundry Process Engineer Part Time Student for Waterloo Works located in Waterloo, IA, you will:

 

 

  • Manage Sand lab inventory, equipment repair and certification
  • Participate in developmental assignments to gain Foundry experience.
  • Learn how to identify, analyze and apply information to support issue resolution.
  • Develop tools to aid in data analysis and collection.
  • Perform activities according to project plans and schedule. 

 

 

This position NOT available to students on immigration visas

 

 

What Skills You Need

 

  • Must be registered as a full-time student at an accredited college/university.
  • Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in Manufacturing Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, Data Analytics or Actuary/Statistics; others may apply. 
  • Graduation date of May 2027 or later.
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above.
  • Available to work during the academic year 16-20 hours/weekly.
  • Available to work during the summer semester 35-40 hours/weekly.
  • If local, comfortable working in a manufacturing environment

  • Background in quality and process controls
  • Familiar with PowerBi and data analysis software
