Your Responsibilities

 

As a Factory Automation ME for Seeding located in Moline, Illinois, you will validate new SmartTest sequences before they are deployed to shop floor. In addition, you will...

 

  • Interpret machine electrical diagrams for troubleshooting and support
  • Deploy and support electrical/mechanical runoff and validation systems
  • Deploy and support controller programming stations which utilize GFPT (Global Factory Programming Tool: CAN bus based software)
  • Develop and maintain documentation in support of all factory program and test stations
  • Support other Seeding factories in achieving common hardware/software processes

What Skills You Need

 

  • 2 or more years of engineering experience
  • Experience with reading machine electrical diagrams
  • Experience with SmartTest or equivalent experience with CAN bus Networks.
  • Basic understanding of PLC and/or PC programming
  • Experience in project management - moderate scale complex projects

What Makes You Stand Out

 

  • Experience with Global Factory Programming Tool (GFPT) and Data Gathering Tool (DGT)
  • Experience with John Deere Assembly Assist Tool (JDAAT)
  • Experience in electrical design and in the use of electrical drafting software
  • Experience with Inductive Automation Ignition programming software

Education

 

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

 

  • Bachelors in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Science)
