Title: Supplier Quality Engineer - 106248

Your Position:

Major Purpose

This job fully integrates an individual into the engineering culture by performing specific quality engineering assignments that are limited in scope, depth and degree of skill required. Work plans and decisions are usually reviewed by others.

Major Duties

  • In a part level new product development project, collaborate with R&D, sourcing department, ensure that supplier fully understands design requirements, review supplier manufacturing process setup, process capability and quality process that can meet mass production need, validate, and approve through PPAP.
  • Manage part quality issue in a mass production environment, develop containment plan, collaborate with supplier for root cause investigation and corrective actions. Manage non-conformance parts rework and return to supplier.
  • Participate cross-functional customer warranty issue investigation and improvement projects.
  • Conduct process verification audit base on supplier quality performance and risk assessment result.
  • Support supplier management team for new supplier selection and audit.

Required

 

  • Minimum 3 years of quality management experience in machinery or automobile industry.
  • Knowledge of drawing and schematic interpretation, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, common metal material and manufacturing processes.
  • Capability of logical thinking and self-learning.

Desired

  • Experience with quality tools (such as Six Sigma, FMEA, Control Plan, SPC, etc.)
  • Experience with developing and improving suppliers to drive robust product, processes, and controls.
  • Hydraulic or electrical related work experience.

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Major in mechanical engineering or equivalent
