Title: Supplier Quality Engineer - 106248
Your Position:
Major Purpose
Major Duties
- In a part level new product development project, collaborate with R&D, sourcing department, ensure that supplier fully understands design requirements, review supplier manufacturing process setup, process capability and quality process that can meet mass production need, validate, and approve through PPAP.
- Manage part quality issue in a mass production environment, develop containment plan, collaborate with supplier for root cause investigation and corrective actions. Manage non-conformance parts rework and return to supplier.
- Participate cross-functional customer warranty issue investigation and improvement projects.
- Conduct process verification audit base on supplier quality performance and risk assessment result.
- Support supplier management team for new supplier selection and audit.
Required
- Minimum 3 years of quality management experience in machinery or automobile industry.
- Knowledge of drawing and schematic interpretation, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, common metal material and manufacturing processes.
- Capability of logical thinking and self-learning.
Desired
- Experience with quality tools (such as Six Sigma, FMEA, Control Plan, SPC, etc.)
- Experience with developing and improving suppliers to drive robust product, processes, and controls.
- Hydraulic or electrical related work experience.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Major in mechanical engineering or equivalent
