Your Responsibilities
As a Safety Professional for JD Davenport Works located in Davenport, IA, you will:
- Compiles necessary data, documentation and correspondence to comply with safety regulations and Health and Safety Management System (HSMS) requirements
- Conducts safety audits and risk assessments to identify noncompliance with John Deere standards, processes and applicable laws and regulations
- Participate in incident investigations and ergonomic reviews and assist in determining effective corrective action
- Communicates results of analysis and interpretation to appropriate work group for awareness and any required action
- Develops, directs and conducts safety presentations and training
- Participate in the reviews of new products, equipment and processes for potential hazards and compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards
- Utilizes acquired knowledge to respond to both internal and external questions / requests for information relevant to safety and health issues

- Specialized skills, knowledge and abilities needed to perform the essential functions of the job
- Has a general understanding of ergonomic and industrial hygiene principles
- Has a general understanding of incident investigation and injury and illness reporting requirements
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and factory operations. - Has a general understanding of the principles and uses the knowledge with assistance
What Makes You Standout
- Experience in Occupational Health and Safety profession in manufacturing environment
- Experience in a manufacturing operation, manufacturing engineering, or industrial engineering environment
Education
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Degree in Occupational Health and Safety discipline or equivalent experience. - University Degree
- Degree in an Engineering or Science discipline or equivalent experience. - University Degree
