Your Responsibilities

 

As a Material Coordinator, for John Deere Harvester Works, located in East Moline, IL, you will coordinate the procurement of internally manufactured and externally procured production materials, including the expediting of material shortages needed for production and coordinated in a way to meet all system due dates. Additionally, you will:

 

  • Lead in the departmental maintenance of inventory accuracy, including the determination of parts to be audited and then the correction of quantities along with root cause analysis and identification
  • Assist in the analysis of material replenishment cycles and propose changes where deemed appropriate
  • Lead projects in relation to inventory accuracy, material availability, and material replenishment for your production department of responsibility

What Skills You Need

 

  • Experience with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Knowledge of manufacturing/warehousing concepts
  • Ability to multitask and work within a team in a fast-paced atmosphere
  • Data analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work variable shift if needed 

 

What Makes You Standout

 

  • Experience in Material Requirements Planning Systems/Processes, including Requirements Planning, Receiving, and Warehousing
  • SAP knowledge and experience
  • Experience working with factory shop floor operations and UAW Union environment 

 

Education

 

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

 

  • Associates degree in Business, Supply Management or related field
