Your Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Engineer for John Deere in Moline, IL, you will develop, code, configure, and test programs and systems. In addition, you will:
- Evaluate and implement enhancement design solutions to improve cost, quality, and performance of software applications;
- Analyze assignments and determine software specifications that must be fulfilled to achieve objectives;
- Execute necessary documentation, as directed or needed;
- Collaborate with other relevant stakeholders and team members to ensure that features meet business needs;
- Follow industry-standard agile software design methodology for development and documentation;
- Mentor junior software engineers on the team.
- Up to 15% domestic and international travel required.
What Skills You Need
- 5 years of experience in design, develop, configure, test and implement SAP PDM, including MM, BOM, iPPE, AVC, and PSM, PTC - PLM (PDMLink -Windchill, CPV and Options & Variants), and AWS custom software including RDS, ECS, S3, VPC, and IAM, connected to product development, product configuration and product lifecycle management PLM
- 8 years of hands on experience with Heavy Equipment Manufacturing Process, Product Engineering, Production Planning, CAD lifecycle management, driving business solutions that improve cost, quality, and performance of software applications
- 5 years of experience in lead the strategic planning, negotiation and problem-solving of an integrated, custom product lifecycle roadmap (product engineering, production planning, manufacturing engineering and cloud-based solutions), while mentoring junior software engineers
- 4 years of experience in deliver incremental business value following industry-standard agile software design methodology in a multifaceted, complex, and customized environment including proper records for various audience (Internal Business, External Customer, Tech, Architecture, and Audits)
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering or related field plus 8 years related experience.

$165,000 - $175,000 per year + Benefits
