Your Responsibilities

 

As a Material Coordinator for John Deere Seeding Moline located in Moline, IL, you ensure material availability at the point of use of internally manufactured and externally procured production materials to meet the factory production schedule. In addition, you will:

 

  • Maintain and improve inventory accuracy by resolving inventory discrepancies, analyzing root causes, and driving corrective actions.
  • Support the manufacturing operation as part of a cross-functional team responsible for meeting daily production goals.
  • Lead projects related to inventory accuracy, material replenishment, and material presentation for the production department of responsibility.

What Skills You Need

 

  • Experience with manufacturing operations, including material flow and inventory management.
  • Experience with data analysis and advanced problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, etc...)
  • Experience working cross-functionally with production, warehouse, supply management, and engineering teams.
  • Ability to work weekends/overtime as needed to support production.

 

What Makes You Stand Out

 

  • Experience with SAP (Materials Management / Warehouse Management modules)
  • Experience in Supply Management or Operations
  • Experience with the Deere Production System
  • Experience working with a unionized workforce 

 

Education

 

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

 

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent related work experience.
