Your Responsibilities

 

As a Sr. Product Manager, Analysis for Intelligent Solutions Group Urbandale located in UrbandaleIA (or remote at manager discretion), you will lead the next phase of machine and work (field operation) performance analysis within the John Deere Operations Center. You will own the Work Analyzer, Work Overview, and Machine Analyzer experiences with a focus on providing farmer users with the data they need to analyze what has happened and easily make decisions for the future. The work goes beyond optimizing existing analytical tools. You will help lead a shift from incremental refinement toward re-imagining how analysis is delivered by deeply understanding customer needs and translating them into exceptional product experiences that meet customers where they’re at in their workflows and decision-making processes. You will be accountable for driving the end-to-end delivery of key initiatives that will strengthen the analytical foundation of Operations Center and unlock new customer-facing capabilities. As a senior product leader, you will operate with broad autonomy and influence, balancing strategy with execution. You will work closely with engineering and UX teams to deliver simple, trusted, and valuable analysis experiences for farmers. Additionally, you will be: 

  • Owning and prioritizing the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Work Analyzer, Work Overview, and Machine Analyzer, with accountability for customer outcomes and enabling multiple production systems
  • Completing discovery with farmers and in some cases, dealers to understand how your applications are used today and how they should evolve
  • Prioritizing, sponsoring, and collaborating with engineering teams on foundational technical work that improves data quality, consistency, and usability
  • Translating complex technical capabilities into clear product direction aligned to customer needs and enabled by strong user experience and design
  • Influencing across multiple product teams to ensure analysis capabilities are coherent and supported by necessary data
  • Serving as a senior voice for analysis, communicating strategy, tradeoffs, and progress to stakeholders and leadership

What Skills You Need

 

  • 5+ years of experience in digital or software product development
  • 3+ years of experience as a digital product manager working with engineering teams, designers, and customers or dealers to craft valuable and usable experiences
  • Demonstrated success delivering digital, customer facing experiences
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and data supported decision-making
  • Proven ability to lead through influence in complex, cross-team environments and make product decisions that make sense within the broader ecosystem of features and tools beyond those you own 
  • Deep experience partnering with engineering, UX, and data teams
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills – you will communicate effectively with close teams, stakeholders, and leadership about your products and plans
  • Ability to create and execute customer discovery plans where learnings are translated into development 

What Makes You Standout

 

  • Experience building or evolving digital analysis tools focused on customer growth
  • Familiarity with agricultural production systems, farmer-facing digital solutions, and machine/work performance evaluation
  • Strong intuition for UX and common patterns
  • Comfort engaging deeply with technical architecture and data models without writing code
  • Ability to shape and deliver sensible product strategy in large, sometimes silo-d organizations
  • Experience leveraging AI in customer facing solutions 

Education

 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or agribusiness preferred, or equivalent work experience
