Your Responsibilities

 

As a Product Engineer for John Deere Cylinder Internal Platform located in Moline, IL you will:

 

  • Develop hydraulic cylinder designs to meet application requirements for a variety of John Deere products.
  • Engage with various John Deere product development teams to ensure application requirements are understood and met with John Deere Cylinder designs.
  • Engage with the cross functional team at John Deere Cylinder to ensure cylinder designs meet application requirements, are manufacturable, components can be strategically sourced, meet quality standards, and optimized for cost.
  • Manage multiple projects and prioritize workload to meet product performance & delivery requirements

What Skills You Need

 

  • 3 or more years of engineering experience
  • 3 or more years of experience with 3D modeling software
  • 3 or more years of experience working in a cross functional team
  • 3 or more years of experience in roles that required strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

What Makes You Stand Out

 

  • Experience with John Deere products using hydraulic cylinders
  • Experience designing to component and machine life goals
  • Experience with hydraulic circuits, components & systems
  • Experience with component or assembly lab testing
  • Experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing
  • Experience with manufacturing processes such as forging, casting, machining, welding, plating, paint & assembly 

Education

 

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering or equivalent experience in a related career field
