Title: Java Software Engineer 
Primary Location: Mexico (MX) - Nuevo León JD Shared Svcs-Monterrey 
Function: Technology (CA)

Main Responsibilities

Works on a product team and supports product design by planning its work, coordinating with others, and writing and testing code to deliver moderately complex functionality on a complete product or significant portion of a product it supports. This level develops simple designs to solve well-defined problems with guidance from more senior team members. May assign, coordinate and review portions of the work to support personnel; Makes decisions within established guidelines subject to review by supervisors; Executes high level applications to more complex problems.

What Skills You Need

  • Experience in the design, development, testing and integration of high complex software solutions in Java web development with Spring and Restful APIs leveraging change management. (1 - 3 years)
  • Experience working with Full Rest Services, Maven, Hibernate, SQL, IntelliJ IDE. (1 - 3 years)
  • Experience in database, data management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints (e.g. MongoDB, Hibernate, MySQL, DB2,  Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL). (1 - 3 years)
  • Experience in JavaScript/HTML5 programming, AngularJS, REACT. (1 - 3 years)
  • Experience with Agile/SCRUM development process.  (1 - 3 years)
  • Experience working with Amazon Web Services platform technologies. (1 - 3 years)
  • Experience leveraging DevSecOps and lean development principles such as Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery. (1 - 3 years)
  • Experience with GitHub Actions or AzureDevOps. (1 - 3 years)
  • Soft Skills Competencies:
    • Ability to analyze, translate, and define business requirements into technical solutions.
    • Excellence in verbal and written communication forms with emphasis on persuasive communication, tact and negotiation.
    • Ability to apply engineering principles and concepts for designs.
    • Ability to manage many competing priorities/requests in a fast-paced environment.

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Experience creating infrastructure for AWS.
  • Experience with software test automation (TDD and Unit Testing Frameworks: Junit, Mockito, Cucumber, Cypress).
  • Understanding of design patterns.


Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience in a related career field.
