Our Manufacturing Engineering Department is looking for a
PDP Manufacturing Engineer (m/f/d)
Your Responsibilities:
As a PDP Manufacturing Engineer – Assembly for John Deere Fabriek Horst B.V. you will plan, coordinate, and perform manufacturing engineering work and activities within the new product development (EPDP) environment and fitting with the John Deere Leap Forward purpose. You will operate within a global and local team environment. You will plan and execute Tasks as well as assign, coordinate, and review portions of work to other team members or contractors.
In addition, you will:
- Influence the product design through concurrent engineering to ensure manufacturability and communicate issues through the Design for Manufacturing (DFM) process.
- Develop an overall project plan based upon the Manufacturing Design phase activities and execute tasks by program milestone dates.
- Lead and perform detailed E-Builds & physical Builds of the product and process design ensuring DFM/DFA requirements are met while also providing design improvement ideas to improve safety, quality and cost and track them through closure.
- Develop, order, procure, and tryout of all tools/fixtures that are required with adherence to the machine acquisition process.
- Utilize the Line Design process to create/document the plan and then execute on the shop floor and support facilities preparation and build execution for an assigned assembly area.
- Leads analysis, development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and technology.
What Skills You Need:
- Bachelor or Master degree in manufacturing, industrial or mechanical engineering with a strong process affinity.
- 3 years of Manufacturing engineering experience with new product introduction.
- Knowledge of capital budgeting and capital equipment justification process, factory master planning (FMP) and Capacity Management.
- Experience in using lean manufacturing tools; Line and Process Design, Material Presentation and Flow. Including creation of main and sub routings.
- Experience relating to development and sourcing of assembly tooling and fixtures.
- Experience in development of shopfloor documentation including Sequence Of Events, Labor Standards and OMS.
- Experience in verifying production process capability.
- Solid Knowledge about database management (SQL, set-up, layout, communication manners).
- Experience with engineering tools (CREO), systems and databases.
- Experience with Factory layouts and layout development.
- Effective communication, problem-solving skills, and experience working on a team.
- Fluent English in speaking and writing.
