Your Position:
Major Purpose
Major Duties
- Responsible for external purchased products quality, work closely with Supply Management team and suppliers by fostering robust quality planning and analysis by formulating/facilitating quality plans to make sure stable, qualified products delivery.
- Conduct onsite Quality System audit, Process audit as new supplier development, new products creation and existing supplier quality issue investigation if any.
- Lead DPAR meeting with cross functional teams during new products development or revision to ensure components received meet quality standards, avoid potential risk during development.
- Review PPAP documents and make final approval/rejection, to make sure mass production quality conformity and consistency.
- Lead and/or coordinate containment activities due to non-conforming supplied products to make sure the production is working as plan and reduce the impact and cost.
- Do investigations for supplier quality issue reported and define root cause, implement corrective, and preventative actions to reduce/eliminate non-conformances.
- Regularly summarize suppliers’ performance data and lead supplier improvement programs as needed.
- Collect NC information and cost of quality issue and charge the cost from suppliers.
Required
- hree or more years’ expertise and experience in Engine/ Powertrain, Structure/Sheetmetal commodity
- Excellent communication skills both in Chinese and English, be capable of communicating with internal and external suppliers, partners and customers in an effective manner.
- Strong knowledge of drawing, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, and applicable industry standards.
- Knowledge of quality management tools, like FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC, Cpk,Root Cause Analysis, 8D Methodology.
- Skill in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel to suppliers as business need.
- Competency to analyze quality data and trends to identify systemic issues and drive sustainable improvements in supplier manufacturing processes and product quality.
- Familiar with SAP,Cproject, PowerBi and data analysis software
Desired
- Quality, Manufacturing engineering, Customer support experience
- Quality Management System experience and knowledge
- Ability to facilitate activities at supplier sites to coach, teach, and lead all supplier personnel to successfully execute and accomplish the deliverables defined in the process improvement charter.
- Ability upon data collection and systematically analysis for suppliers’ performance and prevent the risk in advance.
- Certified to lead supplier audits.
- Knowledge of lean/six sigma principles
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Power Machinery and Engineering, Manufacturing Technology.
