Due to the development of John Deere Polska Business Service Center in Poznan we are currently seeking candidates for the position of:

 

Supplier Quality Engineer (m/f)

 

 

As a Supplier Quality Engineer at John Deere Power Systems you will be responsible for Advanced Product Quality Planning(APQP) for complex engine components (After Treatment).

 

In addition, you will:

• Provide quality planning, control, and improvement support for product development teams, manufacturing teams, supply management, manufacturing and distribution organizations to ensure John Deere product quality meets the customer’s expectations

• Apply quality tools within the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP)

• Support the application of quality tools with key suppliers as an integral element of quality planning

• Work with suppliers to investigate product quality problems, determine root cause, analyze data and ensure implementation

 of corrective actions to reduce non-value waste resulting from non-conformance, scrap or reclaim

• Work with suppliers to develop preventive actions to ensure quality expectations are met

• Lead consistent assessment of supplier’s quality systems

• Conduct audits of potential new suppliers and their quality systems

 

What Skills You Need:

• Advanced English

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence without authority

• Ability to work in cross functional teams

• Experience drawing and schematic interpretation, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing

• Ability work independently, to stay on top of current business conditions to prioritize projects, multitask and meet deadlines

• Experience with standard quality tools such as FMEA (Failure Modes Effect Analysis), SPC (Statistical Process Control), Root Cause Analysis, Statistics

• Experience with advanced data gathering and analysis techniques, including statistical

analysis

• Effective writing skills, including grammatical usage, persuasive copy and style

• Experience in engineering areas: industrial, production, design, manufacturing, quality or warehousing and distribution

• Ability and willingness to travel up to 30%, including domestic and international

 

The position requires also:

• Four or more years of experience using quality management principles, tools and processes

• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline

• Training in and experience using six sigma principles and practices

• Cross-functional work experience in major areas such as: product engineering, supply management, quality or manufacturing operations

• Experience utilizing standard quality tools (such as DPARs, PPAPs, Control Plans, Pareto analysis, Gage Repeatability

and Reproducibility (GR&R))

• Experience in technical cleanliness practices

• Knowledge of International Standards Organization (ISO) requirements ISO9001/QS9000/TS16949

• Experience with engine components and/or After Treatment/Experience with engine component, machining, and fasteners
